How To Avoid Uneven Beard Growth And Get Results

How To Avoid Uneven Beard Growth And Get Results

Do you have uneven beard growth? Do you have patches in your facial hair? Most people do, don’t worry there are some ways around it. As you may already know, beard growth is down to genetics. Dealing with hand you’re dealt. When starting out on your beard journey, you will notice uneven beard growth and patches appearing, almost certainly everyone will. I haven’t yet met a person who has the ‘perfect’ beard. I have spoke to men who get to the 1 month stage of growth, notice patches with little growth, decide that’s the cards they’ve been dealt then shave it off. That is then engrained in their mind, thinking they can never grow a beard. I’d recommend aiming for 3 months of growth before making a decision, let that hair get to 2-3 inches. You will be able to get a better gauge on things. The length of hair may fill in any patches, you can comb it to suit. I have bald patches on my chin from bouncing my chin off pavements several times as a kid skateboarding, you wouldn’t know it now though. Just let it grow. Healthy lifestyle, healthy beard. Now that you have got over that hurdle, it’s time to start caring for your new found love. You’ll want to take care of the facial hair and skin below, if you don’t, dirt and grease may clog the follicles, preventing hair growth, leading to an uneven beard, which is exactly what you do NOT want. A good natural beard oil will help to start off with, a selection can be found here. Natural beard...
Beard oil will NOT make you a man.

Beard oil will NOT make you a man.

Beard oil will NOT make you a man. There seems to be alot of confusion around beardcare products, so I want to make a few things clear. Putting plant based oil on your facial hair will NOT MAKE YOU A MAN. It never has and never will. Being a real man is about how you carry yourself, how you act and treat others. Everyone has their own definition. BUT, what beard care products will do is, • soften the feel of your facial hair. • reduce irritation • reduce beard dandruff • make your facial hair attractive to someone wanting to snuggle up. If that sounds appealing, you will enjoy using Braw Beard products. We can’t make you a man, but we can help you enjoy being one. Join...

What Is Braw Beard Oil And How To Use It Properly

What the hell is Braw Beard Oil??  Why do I need that shit?? Yeah, we get asked that with a look of confusion quite often. See, that shit has many benefits that will improve your beard health, beard life and probably the life of others who come in contact with it. A familiar scenario at events we attend is, a wife will drag her big, bearded, biker looking husband over to our stand. He will stand looking uninterested, she will ask us lots of questions, whilst smelling the beard oil options. He will buy one to keep her happy. THEN when he gets home and actually uses the beard care products, he will notice a difference in the health and appearance of his beard. Then we usually get an email thanking us for making a great product and how his wife loves the smell and enjoys kissing him more now, because his facial hair is soft and doesn’t smell of his dinner. Every few months, we will see his name appear in the order list. This happens more than you’d think. So what is Braw beard oil? Beard oil is one of the most important tools you can have in your bathroom’s box of tricks. Our motto is – For Stubble To Skiffin’ Rubble – our beard oil can be used on anything from a 5 o’clock shadow to a beard scraping the ground. To put it simply, beard oil is a cosmetic oil used to make your facial hair more attractive and manageable. Once you use it, you’ll wonder why you never did before. There are synthetic and natural...

How To Choose The Best Beard Comb For Your Hair Type

Choosing a beard comb may seem like an easy task, right? You may be using your significant other’s plastic comb? Yes, an ordinary plastic comb will do ok, but it won’t perform as well as a beard specific comb. Using a beard comb properly, regularly, can stimulate the follicles, in turn helping facial hair growth. There are certain aspects you will want to consider; 1. The material. 2. The teeth shape. 3. The space between the teeth. 4. The size. 1. The Material Many combs that can be bought off the shelf for much cheapness are exactly that, cheap. Made from plastic, from a mould that will probably have ragged edges that will catch your facial hair. This will potentially damage your beard. We prefer natural products, like wood. Sandalwood being one of the favourites for a beard comb. Sandalwood is our preferred material, it’s smooth, natural, it has very unique patterns, it also smells amazing and absorbs a little amount of beard oil. This helps the beard comb glide through the beard and it takes on some of the scent from the oil, what’s not to like? 2. The Teeth Shape There are a few shapes of teeth available, this is where you need to be careful. Some have square edges, if these are not finished properly, the edges can tear your facial hair and cut or weaken it. Our comb has cylinder like teeth with rounded edges, designed to glide with through your beard with no snagging. Beard combs distribute beard oil/beard balm evenly and leave it feeling soft and fuller looking. We chose to give our beard comb long teeth to ensure full coverage, control...

How To Choose The Best Beard Brush For You

Choosing a beard brush may seem like an easy task, right? You may be using your significant other’s hair brush? One of our athletes, before joining Braw Beard, was even using his cat’s brush!! I won’t say who… Yes, an ordinary plastic brush will do ok, but it won’t perform as well as a beard specific brush. There are certain aspects you will want to consider; 1. The handle material. 2. The bristles. 3. Bristle stiffness. 4. The handle shape. 5. The size. 1. The Handle Material Many brushes that can be bought off the shelf for much cheapness are exactly that, cheap. Made from plastic, from a mould that will probably have ragged edges that will catch your facial hair. This will potentially damage your beard. We prefer natural products, like wood. Bamboo being one of the favourites for a beard brush. Bamboo is our preferred material, it’s smooth, natural, it has very unique patterns and absorbs a little amount of beard oil. This helps the beard brush glide through the beard and it takes on some of the scent from the oil, what’s not to like? 2. The Bristles There are natural and synthetic options available, much like the handle options. But, the bristles of choice on a beard brush are boar bristle. Again, we like to go with the natural option. Boar bristles distribute beard oil/beard balm evenly and leave it feeling soft and fuller looking. We chose to give our beard brush contoured bristles to match the shape of your face when brushing. 3. Bristle Stiffness Believe it or not, there are different grades of stiffness for the...

Thank you

Thank YOU for YOUR support. Braw Beard started off in 2012 as an experimental solution to dry and irritated facial hair after mountain biking. I never expected it to gain so many fans and people I now call friends. It is has been hard work… and still is. But man, it’s well worth it. We STILL make our beard oils by hand in Scotland. Yes, we could outsource them, but those are what started this brand and we’ll never forget that. So, as long as we can continue to produce them and meet demand, we will. There is some cool shit on the horizon and I am looking forward to sharing that with you. Again, I want to personally thank you for joining and supporting Braw Beard on this crazy journey. I hope you enjoy Braw Beard care as much as we do. Thanks for reading. John Jackson...
