What does beard oil do and why should I use it?
When we meet bearded men, if they're not familiar with beard grooming, we always get asked, "what does beard oil do?" At events in the past, we've been laughed at by guys who refuse to try beard oil. They think it is some sort of snake oil, gimmick or maybe they're just 'too manly' for it... Quite often though, their partner will pressure them to give beard oil a try. After one application, the guy will feel the benefit and their partner notices too. That scenario has happened a lot on The Braw Beard stand and those who were hesitant to try beard oil, are STILL customers to this day. Beard care products are NOT essential, but the ARE beneficial.
What does beard oil do?
Braw Beard oil is an all natural facial hair conditioner. Our beard oils are 100% natural and their ingredients are chosen for their beneficial properties. This product is designed to moisturise the hair and skin underneath to soothe irritation and reduce dandruff (beardruff as it's known in the industry). Beard oil is used to make your facial hair feel softer, smoother, more manageable and more attractive looking. Braw Beard oils also smell great!! If you have never used Braw Beard oil before, you will notice a huge benefit after just one application. As our verified customer Mark T says, "It’s the first time I’ve used an oil on my beard and this stuff is amazing. My beard is now super soft and the fragrance lasts all day." CLICK HERE FOR THE LINK
Why use it?
Would you be happy getting close to someone knowing your head is flaking dandruff everywhere? No? It’s the same scenario with your beard. You want that thing nice, smooth, clean and flake-free, no-one wants to snuggle a furry snowstorm. When growing a beard, you may have experienced dry skin, irritation and beardruff, this usually is enough for someone to shave their facial hair off. But using the correct beard care products, all that can be dealt with easily. If you have a new car or bike, you look after it, you keep it clean because you are proud and want to show it off. Why should the hair sitting on your face be any different? Treat it with care. Lee F says "Cannot imagine not being able to use Braw Beard oil; my beard would literally be wire wool without it!" How often to apply beard oil without overdoing it
To start off with I recommend dispensing a few drops (around the size of a 5 pence piece) into the palm of your hand. That is a good amount for most sizes of beards. Beard oil is not water based so does not evaporate, it does get absorbed by the skin and hair though. For that reason you do not want to apply too much because that will leave pores blocked, skin greasy and the perfect ground for spots to appear. The best bet is to start off small and add more if needed.
For stubble to 1cm in length
If you are just starting on your beard journey, I’d recommend just 3-4 drops of beard oil for any length between stubble and 1cm. That will ensure enough coverage to condition the hair.Joe Franklin
1cm to 8cm in length
This is the most popular range for beards at the moment. For this length, I’d recommend dispensing a few drops into your hand until you have roughly an amount the size of a 5 pence piece or dime. That should be enough to cover your facial hair nicely.Ross Rollo
8cm and longer in length
This is where it comes down to personal preference, at the moment, my beard is 25cm. I use the size of a 2 pence piece worth of beard oil to get my ideal look and feel. For you, it may take some experimentation to get the right amount, it isn’t an exact science though, it is personal preference. Martin Simpson I hope this article has helped explain what Braw Beard oil is and you have found it beneficial.
